Do you ever feel like a ship that has sailed so far from land and you will never reach the shore again?
How about the person that when bowling your ball always seems to go in the gutter?
Or the one to hit the softball and it finally goes over the fence, but it just so happens to be the fence behind home plate?
The three situations above are aggravating but there is a bright side to all of them.

The ship that you are on more than likely has a navigational system in it, and if it doesn't you can always use the sun. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west, so there you go an all natural compass.

Now the bowling ball that always finds it way to the gutter. The positive side to that is at one time your ball was not even making it to the gutter. It was a hard enough job to get it out of your hand and rolling it down the correct lane. That just goes to say that the gutter ball is actually an improvement.

Now for the softball, every one has struck out even the best of the players. Not to mention the little silent prayers you say to yourself, I would like to hit it over the fence just one time. Okay, how did the ball get over the fence? At some point you must have hit the ball and it made its way over the fence. Here is the good part, you finally hit the ball, and on top of it all it even went over the fence.

So when you get down on yourself, or see someone else down, help them find the good. For example, my step dad had both of his legs removed from the knees down. I have yet to this day heard him complain about his feet being gone. He always says at least I still have my hands and arms. These could be the next to go if his vessels were to have kept deteriorating.
