Our Trip To Diamond Caverns

The light that you see in the middle of the photo is the original opening. A 12 year old boy discovered this cave and was tied to a rope and lowered into the cave. The boy thought that the silver look on the cave wall was diamonds, that is how the cave got its name.

In this area of the cave they use to have open for weddings but no longer do.

If you look at the photo below closely you can see where the stalactites have been cut off. This is the affects of the cave wars. Cave wars happened in the older days when the caves would fight for tourists.

The curved multi colored part of the cave you see is nicknamed cave bacon.

This is a stalagmite, it builds up in the cave.

We really enjoyed the tour and we even got an amazing work out climbing more than 350 steps.

Trucks and Cars old and new

I love the horn this car has. The trunk of the car opens up and becomes a seat.

The Mustang is my all time favorite.

The super sport.

When I was a child this man at my church use to drive a truck similar to this one. I would ask him when he was going to donate it to me. He would tell me that when I got old enough to drive I would be interested in the newer trucks. but to this day I would love to have a truck like this.

I have always liked the look of the older model cars. I like some of the newer cars also, but fascinated with the oldies.

Here are a few of the newer vehicles I like.

Snapshots

Mill Springs
I put my life at risk for this picture. The tree that is in the right corner has actually grown on the side of the cliff, I climbed out on it and took the picture. Then almost took a long plunge to the bottom. Luckly if I had fallen ther was a little water to break my fall. I feel that the picture was well worth the risk i took. I think it is beautiful.

This is what is known as the tree of life. The 3 pictures above are taken at Diney World.

This is the greatest member of my family. lol, just kidding.

Picture Time

I love to take pictures, it gives me some sort of inner peace. Saturday I managed to get out and take a few pictures. I was going to go to Louisville and visit my family, but my car made other plans. What I mean by that is that the belt tensioner decided it had enough and went pop. That is when I decided that it was picture taking time. A few of the places Ang and I went was the lake, a walking trail, and to finish off the night we decided to try our luck at bingo.

Stopped for a quick view of the lake.

The tree we first met at, this is where we walk. This is the large diamond bingo

This is the double postage. My first bingo in a long time.
